Welcome to the U.S.S. Artemis!

"The Artemis is not like other ships... It's not suited for everyone, so you'll find this crew...different, oftentimes. What you make of that and what you do with it is, ultimately, up to you."
--Captain Desiree Taliano, SD240807.24

The USS Artemis was originally commissioned as a border patrol vessel with an updated version of the ship's class along with a handful of experimental systems. She was a ship without many frills, and a lot of fight. Her launch officially took place on Stardate 240609.26, under the command of Captain Desiree Taliano. They went out looking to keep their corner of Federation space safe, and they certainly found more than they bargained for.

In late 2413, amid the civil war of the Federation, the USS Artemis just...disappeared.

Now, it seems that she has been found. The Artemis is coming home, but first is the grave mystery of what happened to her? Starfleet decides to assemble a crew to go out and investigate her, before bringing her home, mixing former Artemis crew along with new blood.

What will they find? What secrets does the Artemis now hold? And when she goes back out to patrol the border, what new trouble will she find?

It was another five hundred and ninety-seven steps before the aforementioned medical technician came to see her.
